A birthday yacht party needs one clear running order: get everyone aboard, enjoy the selected charter, and make time for the birthday moment. Choose the yacht and route first, then coordinate the cake, music and photographs. H2OH serves guests staying in Playa del Carmen, with every departure from Puerto Aventuras Marina.
Choose what the birthday guest actually wants
Ask for three priorities, such as snorkeling, karaoke and a group photo, or a meal, music and an evening aboard. Match those priorities to the charter instead of ordering entertainment before choosing the yacht. Count the birthday guest even when friends pay that person’s share.
Three-hour Xpu-Ha is a daytime cruise with swimming when suitable, not reef snorkeling. The four-hour InHa charter is the snorkeling-focused option. A two-hour evening charter is for time aboard; check the available departure and daylight for the date. Jet skis and other separately advertised activities are not assumed inclusions.
Choose a cake or a birthday bundle, not both by accident
The H2OH extras listing, checked October 9, 2026, provides three different starting points:
Published birthday choices, separate from a regular yacht fare| Option | Listed price | Details to use when planning |
|---|
| Regular cake | $30 USD | Chocolate, vanilla or tres leches; approximately 12 servings; no personalization. |
| Personalized specialty cake | $75 USD | Order at least 72 hours ahead; confirm the message, design and serving needs. |
| Birthday celebration add-on | $100 USD | Cake, balloon garland in a chosen color, and a Happy Birthday banner in silver or gold. |
These are dated listings, not confirmed orders. A larger party may need more cake than the regular size provides. Confirm portions and whether a requested personalized cake changes a bundle’s price. Do not order an individual cake as well as a cake-containing bundle unless you need both.
Give the crew a short celebration sequence
Decide whether the main photograph happens before swimming, when everyone is dressed and together. Choose one person to cue the birthday song and toast. Ask the crew where cake service fits around the route and meal; an open deck is not a place to improvise a large setup while the yacht is moving.
Suggested order to agree with the crew, not fixed activity times| Stage | Organizer’s task |
|---|
| Before departure | Check the full guest list, complete boarding steps and listen to the briefing. |
| Once settled aboard | Take the planned group photo and confirm the music connection. |
| Selected charter activity | Let the crew direct swimming or snorkeling; include guests who prefer to stay aboard. |
| Meal and birthday moment | Give the agreed cue for cake, song or toast without interrupting crew operations. |
| Return | Collect belongings and meet the confirmed return driver after disembarking. |
Plan music and photographs around the named yacht
A downloaded playlist and a few birthday favorites may be all you need. For a sing-along, check Karaoke at Sea on the selected yacht. Do not assume every vessel has the same equipment, or that a DJ or private photographer is part of the regular fare.
For professional coverage, distinguish a photo package from an outside photographer’s vendor fee. Confirm coverage, boarding and image delivery. Agree on decorations before bringing them, keep movement routes clear and follow the crew’s instructions for props and equipment.
Put real clock times on the invitation
A confirmed 10:00 a.m. three-hour charter means marina arrival at 9:40 a.m. and a scheduled 1:00 p.m. return. A confirmed 1:30 p.m. four-hour charter means arrival at 1:10 p.m. and return at 5:30 p.m. These examples explain the schedule; they do not establish availability.
Hotel pickup is earlier than marina arrival, and the road journey back follows the boat’s return. Send the actual accommodation entrance for transportation planning. Include towels and swimwear for swimmers, sun-protective clothing, a secure hat and a dry cover-up in the packing message. Late arrival does not extend the scheduled return.
Confirm the full birthday bill
Regular all-inclusive charters include captain, crew, meals and open bar; Family and Custom Series arrangements differ. Itemize the base fare, additional guests, marina fees, transportation, celebration order and payment charges. Check menu requests and outside-food rules before promising guests a particular meal. Outside alcohol is not permitted.
Review cancellation and weather terms, then use birthday celebration information and the estimate builder to organize the request. The final invitation should use the confirmed yacht, departure and extras, not an early price screenshot.
