IT STARTED WITH ONE PIRATE SHIP
It started with a Texan, a pirate ship & an idea.
Long before Puerto Aventuras became known for private yacht charters, Captain Mack Jones looked at the Mexican Caribbean and saw something missing.
The water was spectacular. The coastline was incredible. People were coming from around the world to experience it.
But if you wanted to gather your friends or family, step aboard your own private yacht, and spend the day exploring the Caribbean your way? That wasn’t really a thing here yet.
Captain Mack thought it should be.
So in 2012, he did something about it.
He brought Piratas de Tejas to Puerto Aventuras.
Captain Mack brought Piratas de Tejas from Texas to Puerto Aventuras and put her to work. She wasn’t just another boat arriving at the marina. She became the first private charter yacht in Puerto Aventuras.
With her, Captain Mack began building a business dedicated to giving groups their own yacht, their own crew and their own adventure on the Caribbean.

Then people started talking.
A day on the Caribbean has a way of becoming the story you bring home. The friends together on deck. The family in the water. The celebration that needed a little more room—and a much better view.
As guests discovered private yacht charters, the H2OH family grew. What began with Piratas de Tejas became a fleet, with captains, crew and a booking team helping more people find their own kind of day at sea.
One pirate ship became a fleet.
Dos Piratas, Los Tres Piratas and 4 Piratas helped write the next chapters. Pura Vida joined in 2019. Today, H2OH’s privately owned yachts bring their own personalities to weddings, bachelorette parties, birthdays, family outings and days with friends.
We own the yachts. We know the boats and the people who run them. When you plan with H2OH, you’re talking directly to the team bringing your day together.
And Captain Mack? He’s still here.
Puerto Aventuras became home. Captain Mack’s story is part of its waterfront, and his connection to the place goes well beyond a charter schedule.
