Tulum Yacht Charter with Family and Friends: Compare the Whole Budget

For a Tulum yacht trip with family and friends, choose the itinerary and the food-and-drink option separately. The route determines what you do; the package determines the included services. H2OH’s Family option is a lower-base-price choice without the included open bar, not a different destination or a shared family tour. All departures are from Puerto Aventuras Marina.

Start with the whole group, including children

Record adults, children’s ages, non-swimmers, dietary requests and any help needed with boarding. Count every child for the passenger information, including infants who have no charter charge. The yacht’s maximum capacity, the fare’s included guest allowance and the number paying a contribution are different figures.

Compare yachts for your Tulum stay by usable seating, shade, stairs, toilets and water access. Choose an activity aboard for anyone staying dry. Ask about suitable equipment for children’s sizes and agree which accompanying adults supervise them; a private crew is not a childcare service.

Compare the route before shortening the trip

Three-hour Xpu-Ha offers a daytime yacht outing and swimming when suitable, without reef snorkeling. Choose four-hour InHa for a snorkeling-focused trip. A two-hour evening cruise is shorter but may overlap a child’s bedtime or take place after dark.

Include travel to the marina and back in the family’s time commitment. A three-hour charter is not three hours away from the hotel, and four hours is not four uninterrupted hours swimming. Conditions determine suitable water activities and stops. Akumal Bay, cenotes and Tulum ruins are separate outings, not extra stops automatically added to the charter.

A mixed-age example: ten passengers, not ten adult fees

The following illustration uses published Los Tres Piratas prices and Family Charter rules checked October 9, 2026. It assumes six adults, three children aged five to twelve and one child under five, all within the stated base guest allowance. It is not a quote or availability confirmation.

Both examples exclude transportation, optional purchases, payment charges and gratuity, and apply no promotion. Do not add an additional-child charge merely because a child is attending when that child is already within the fare allowance. Conversely, an under-five exemption does not mean leaving the child off the passenger list.

Understand the Family saving

The published Family reductions are $75 on two hours, $100 on three hours and $125 on four hours, applied to the eligible base charter price rather than to every person. Piratas TOO is excluded. Cash bar or bottle service is available separately. Include those purchases in the comparison if adults plan to use them.

Custom Series has food and bar choices priced separately. It is not automatically the lowest complete cost after adding the same meal and drinks. A regular charter does not automatically include a DJ, private chef or decoration package.

Arrange the Tulum transfer for the actual households

The transportation page lists Tulum Hotel Zone at $25 USD per person round trip. Confirm the exact addresses, passenger ages, vehicle and complete transport quote rather than applying a charter’s child-price rules to the transfer. Send all pickup entrances together when families stay at different properties.

Reach Puerto Aventuras Marina 20 minutes before the confirmed departure. Allow the road journey on each side and leave time for children’s meals or rest afterward. The team confirms pickup time using the address and traffic; an approximate published journey time is not a personal arrival guarantee.

Keep the budget practical

Choose the menu, a playlist and perhaps one shared photo or cake before adding more entertainment. Bring swimwear and towels for swimmers and review what may be brought aboard. Outside alcohol is not permitted. Dietary arrangements need confirmation before payment.

Compare real quotes rather than assuming a particular month or three-month booking window guarantees a bargain. Transportation and marina fees are excluded from discounts. Build the family-and-friends estimate, review booking and weather terms, and retain the final booking confirmation.
