Before reserving a family yacht charter, confirm the children’s participation, equipment, supervision, food and complete price. A child-pricing category does not establish a minimum age or certify that every activity is suitable. Give H2OH the ages and needs of everyone attending before choosing the yacht. All H2OH charters depart Puerto Aventuras Marina.
Age, child pricing and passenger capacity are different questions
The published Family Charter information, checked October 9, 2026, lists additional children aged 5–12 at $25 USD each, with the selected yacht’s additional-adult rate applying from age 13. Children under five have no charter charge or marina fee. These are pricing rules, not permission to omit young children from the passenger count or a blanket suitability statement for infants.
The marina fee is separately listed at $20 USD for each attending guest aged five or older. For six adults, three children aged 5–12 and one child under five, the group count is ten and the marina-fee example is nine times $20, or $180. Charter cost still depends on the chosen base fare and its guest allowance. Do not add an additional-child charge automatically when that child is already covered by the fare.
Confirm equipment and supervision before paying
Provide children’s ages, sizes and swimming experience. Ask H2OH to confirm suitable life jackets, which activities are appropriate and how children board and move around the chosen yacht. Do not assume an adult-size vest fits a small child, that all infants can join every trip, or that a confident pool swimmer is ready for every sea condition.
Assign an accompanying adult to supervise each child and agree explicitly when that responsibility changes hands. The crew runs the vessel and activity instructions; that is not the same as providing childcare. The American Red Cross emphasizes close supervision and cautions that recreational inflatables do not replace it. Follow the crew’s equipment and water-entry directions.
Choose the route, then the Family package
Questions for each charter duration| Choice | Check before reserving |
|---|
| Two-hour evening | Does the actual departure fit the child’s routine? Will the outing be in daylight or after dark? |
| Three-hour Xpu-Ha | Does a daytime cruise with suitable swimming opportunities fit the group? This is not an InHa reef tour. |
| Four-hour InHa | Who will snorkel, who will remain aboard, and what help or equipment is needed? |
The Family option changes the meal-and-drink arrangement, not the route. Meals and non-alcoholic drinks are included without an open bar; cash bar or bottle service is available. Piratas TOO is not eligible. Regular all-inclusive and Custom Series inclusions differ. Confirm the actual package rather than assuming every family booking contains the same services.
Check the spaces children will use
Inspect boarding steps, rails, stairs between decks, shade, seating, toilets and water access on the specific yacht. A published maximum of 80 guests is not a promise of 80 shaded seats, guest bedrooms or step-free access. Ask about the actual arrangement for your headcount.
Choose one activity children can enjoy aboard without entering the water: a playlist, drawing, a family photo or an observation game. Swimming, paddleboards, floating mats and high-dive features depend on the yacht and the crew’s instructions. They are not activities automatically suitable for all ages. Yal-Kú Lagoon, Akumal Bay turtle-viewing circuits and visits to ruins are separate outings, not standard stops added to an InHa charter.
Plan the meal and the bag
Review menu choices and portions in advance. Give allergy and dietary details directly to the team and obtain a clear answer about what can be accommodated. An all-inclusive meal does not establish an allergy-free kitchen or unlimited substitutions.
Bring swimwear, towels for swimmers, sun-protective clothing, a secure hat, a cover-up and the personal items your child needs. Ask before bringing a stroller or bulky equipment and keep walkways clear. Follow the onboard rules, including the restriction on outside alcohol.
Send every household the confirmed schedule
Complete the requested waivers using the booking instructions before charter day. Share the yacht name, meeting point and arrival time with all accompanying adults. H2OH asks for marina arrival 20 minutes before departure; a late start does not extend the scheduled return.
Arrange hotel transfers when needed and review the weather and cancellation terms. Conditions may change, and neither a private booking nor a season guarantees calm water. Build the estimate with your actual family details, then obtain confirmation of the charter and essential requests.
