A family yacht day starts with two separate choices: the itinerary and the meal-and-drink package. H2OH’s Family Charter option keeps meals and non-alcoholic drinks but removes the included open bar. It can be selected on eligible two-, three- and four-hour charters; it is not a separate route. Every H2OH charter leaves Puerto Aventuras Marina.
Choose the route for what your family wants to do
Family charter itinerary comparison| Option | Main purpose | Important distinction |
|---|
| Two-hour evening | Time together aboard, music, food and coastal views. | Check your date and departure for daylight. Evening does not always mean sunset. |
| Three-hour Xpu-Ha | A daytime cruise and celebration, with swimming when suitable. | This is not the four-hour InHa snorkeling itinerary. |
| Four-hour InHa | A daytime yacht outing with a snorkeling focus. | Four hours includes travel and the return, not four uninterrupted hours in the water. |
Choose a duration around the whole outing, including the journey from your accommodation. A family member can remain aboard instead of swimming. The captain determines suitable stops for the conditions; do not build the day around a guaranteed wildlife sighting, empty beach or calm sea.
What the Family option changes
The published Family Charter page, checked October 9, 2026, lists base-price reductions of $75 USD for two hours, $100 for three hours and $125 for four hours. These are reductions from the eligible charter’s base price, not per-person discounts. Meals and non-alcoholic drinks remain included; cash bar or bottle service is available separately. Piratas TOO is excluded from the Family option.
A family can also compare a regular all-inclusive charter with an open bar. Custom Series has separately selected food and bar arrangements. Do not combine the lowest price from one option with the inclusions of another. A dedicated chef, DJ, photographer or special menu is not included merely because the package includes meals.
Build the complete family budget
Keep three numbers distinct: the yacht’s maximum guest capacity, the guests covered by the base fare and your actual headcount. Include babies and children when assessing capacity. Then itemize additional guests, marina fees, transport, selected extras and applicable payment charges.
For a simple illustration, the published Los Tres Piratas two-hour Family base is $525 USD for up to ten guests. Ten attendees all aged five or older add $200 in marina fees, producing $725 before transport, extras and payment charges. This is an example using published prices checked October 9, 2026, not an availability confirmation or a quote for your date.
H2OH’s guest rules list the marina fee at $20 USD per attending guest aged five or older; under-fives are exempt. Review child charges and the included guest allowance in the selected quote rather than applying the additional-child rate to every child automatically.
Match the yacht to the people who will use it
Compare shade, seating, toilets, boarding steps and water access in the fleet listings. A longer yacht does not automatically provide step-free boarding, a sleeping cabin or a seat in the shade for every guest. Explain assistance needs before reserving. Water toys, karaoke and other equipment vary by yacht.
Share children’s ages, sizes and swimming experience with the team. Accompanying adults remain responsible for supervision; a private charter is not a childcare service. Choose onboard games, a playlist or a photo activity for anyone who will not enter the water. Do not assume fishing, jet skis, beach treasure hunts or visits to Tulum’s ruins are part of the charter.
Food and packing before charter day
Review the selected menu, serving time and portions. Send allergies and dietary requests in advance and obtain confirmation of what can be accommodated; a request alone is not an allergy-safety guarantee. Bring swimwear and a towel for swimming, sun-protective clothing, a secure hat and a cover-up. Keep drinks and loose belongings secured.
Arrange transportation to Puerto Aventuras Marina separately when needed and arrive 20 minutes before departure. A late arrival does not extend the scheduled return. Use Build Your Charter to prepare the family estimate, then have the yacht, package, equipment requests and booking terms confirmed.
