The best yacht for an occasion is the one that fits the people and the event, not simply the longest vessel or the largest advertised capacity. Start with your passenger count, then compare seating, movement, activities and the setup you actually need.
H2OH offers private charters with captain and crew from Puerto Aventuras Marina. Smaller groups can book a larger yacht privately. A maximum capacity is not a minimum group size or the guest allowance included in the base fare.
Use capacity to build a shortlist
The current H2OH vessel pages list these maximum guest capacities. Count all adults and children, including infants, and have the team confirm the limit and event arrangement for your booking.
For example, a party of 30 exceeds a 28-guest vessel’s listed capacity, even if some guests are children. Do not solve a capacity problem by omitting children from the booking. Capacity alone also does not confirm availability on your date.
For weddings: check the event layout
Ask how the ceremony, meal, photographs and celebration fit the vessel. A yacht that can carry the passenger count may have a different capacity for a particular seated arrangement. Confirm any officiant, photographer or entertainment access with the team rather than treating supplier space as automatic.
Use the wedding planning page for package questions. A symbolic ceremony, reception and welcome cruise are different events; identify the one you are organizing before choosing extras.
For birthdays and bachelorettes: choose the main feature
Decide whether the focus is karaoke, swimming, reef time or an evening toast. Check the named yacht for the equipment and layout. Do not assume every vessel offers the same sound system, high-dive platform or space for an outside DJ.
Review the charter and any celebration bundle separately. The package’s guest allowance, included decorations and additional charges are not the same as the yacht’s passenger limit.
For families: compare practical comfort
Discuss shade, bathrooms, seating, boarding and getting back aboard after swimming. Tell the team about children’s ages, swimming ability and assistance needs. Guests may prefer to stay aboard, so select a layout that works for them too.
The Family option changes food and beverage inclusions on eligible charters; it is not a universal child-suitability certification or a separate route. Its current listing excludes Piratas TOO.
For couples: compare the whole-charter price
Two guests are reserving a private vessel, not purchasing two seats. Check the base allowance and total cost instead of dividing a maximum capacity into the fare. Confirm the actual departure if sunset light matters, and price flowers or photography separately.
Make the final comparison like for like
Compare two shortlisted yachts using the same date, route, guest count and package. Include extra guests, marina fees, transport, payment charges and selected extras. Do not assume an earlier booking automatically earns a discount.
Build your estimate with the preferred vessel, then confirm its availability and your essential event requirements. Keep the original decision simple: enough capacity, a suitable layout and the right experience for your group.
