A yacht’s length alone does not tell you how many guests it can carry comfortably. Start with the published passenger capacity of the specific vessel, then compare its layout and the experience your group wants. H2OH’s published maximum guest capacities range from 23 to 80 across the fleet; smaller private groups can book too. Every H2OH charter departs from Puerto Aventuras Marina.
This guide helps you separate three different questions: will everyone fit within the yacht’s passenger limit, does the layout suit your plans, and how many guests are included in the advertised charter price?
Compare H2OH yacht capacities
The figures below are the maximum guest capacities published in H2OH’s fleet listings, not minimum booking sizes or the number included in a base price. Open a yacht’s page to see its photos and charter options, and confirm the passenger count for your booking.
For example, Texas and Última Pirata are both listed as 60-foot yachts, but their published guest limits are different. A rule such as ‘a 60-foot yacht holds 20 people’ would not accurately describe this fleet. Compare the fleet, published base rates and included guests together.
Passenger capacity is not the base-price guest allowance
A yacht can accommodate more people than its base charter price includes. A published rate with an allowance of 15 guests does not mean the yacht holds only 15; it also does not mean that every additional guest is free.
Use your complete passenger count when requesting an estimate. Review the included guest allowance, additional-guest charges, marina fees, transportation and optional extras separately. Count children and infants when checking which vessel fits your group, even when a fare rule makes a child free.
Build My Estimate helps you compare your chosen date, yacht and charter. A yacht with enough capacity is not necessarily available for that departure.
What does a comfortable layout look like for your group?
Comfort depends on how your group will use the yacht. Look at the actual vessel photos and discuss shaded seating, indoor spaces, bathrooms, steps between decks and the activities you want. Do not assume every yacht has the same equipment, air-conditioned spaces, karaoke setup or water toys.
A swimming-focused outing has different needs from a reception with catering, decorations and a photographer. For a yacht wedding or reception, confirm the event layout as well as the guest count. A maximum passenger capacity does not promise seated dining for everyone at once.
Which yachts should a larger group compare?
For 25 to 28 guests: compare 4 Piratas, 4.5 Piratas and Última Pirata, as well as larger yachts when you prefer a different layout. Los Tres Piratas and Piratas TOO do not fit a group of 25.
For 40 guests: compare Dos Piratas, Texas, Piratas de Tejas and Pura Vida. Choose based on the date, charter option and onboard spaces rather than size alone.
For 50 to 55 guests: compare Texas, Piratas de Tejas and Pura Vida. Dos Piratas has a published maximum of 48 guests.
For 60 to 80 guests: start with Piratas de Tejas and Pura Vida. For more than 80 guests, ask the team about a multi-yacht plan; do not book the entire party onto one yacht. See our private group and corporate charter options.
Match the yacht to your charter day
Compare the two-hour evening cruise, three-hour Xpu-Ha outing and four-hour InHa snorkeling charter on your selected yacht. These are different routes, not interchangeable time blocks. Confirm the departure against daylight if sunset photographs matter. Regular all-inclusive, Family and Custom Series charters have different food and drink inclusions; check the package rather than relying on the yacht’s size.
Give the team one event-space brief alongside the passenger total: how many guests need seated dining at the same time, which guests need shade or help boarding, what equipment or decorations you intend to bring, and whether suppliers will travel aboard. Those details help establish a workable arrangement; they do not authorize extra passengers beyond the yacht’s limit.
Your hotel location is separate from the boarding point. Guests staying in Tulum, Playa del Carmen or elsewhere in the Riviera Maya board at Puerto Aventuras Marina. Use the marina directions and transportation information to plan the full outing, not only the time aboard.
Common yacht-capacity questions
Can a small group book a larger yacht?
Yes. Maximum capacity is a limit, not a minimum party size. Compare the base rate and included guests for the charter you want.
Can we add guests after booking?
Ask H2OH before adding passengers. The final group must remain within the selected yacht’s confirmed limit, and the price, catering and transportation arrangements may need to change.
What should we confirm before paying?
Confirm the yacht, date, departure, full passenger count, event layout and itemized total. Review the charter FAQs and booking rules, then use the estimate builder or contact the team to arrange your private yacht day.
