Luxury and budget are marketing descriptions, not complete specifications. Neither label tells you whether a charter is private, what the crew provides or which costs are included. Compare the named vessel and package instead of assigning a standard set of features to every price level.
For H2OH, the starting point is a private charter with captain and crew from Puerto Aventuras Marina. The yacht, route, guest allowance and food-and-drink arrangement determine what you are comparing.
Separate three decisions that often get mixed together
Private or shared: are you booking the vessel for your group or buying individual places alongside other customers? A lower price does not automatically mean a shared trip, and private use does not require the largest yacht.
Vessel and layout: compare the actual seating, shade, bathrooms, indoor areas and boarding access. Do not infer a jacuzzi, air conditioning or overnight suite from a general category photograph.
Package: identify food, drinks, equipment and services included in the quoted fare. The same vessel may be offered with different package arrangements. An upgraded drinks package does not change its passenger capacity.
Build a like-for-like comparison

Question for each offer |
| Price basis |
Is this per person or for the whole charter, and how many guests are included? |
| Duration and route |
Which departure and activity does the fare cover? |
| Facilities |
Which spaces and equipment are on the named yacht? |
| Meals and drinks |
What is included, and what is separately ordered? |
| Extra charges |
Which guest, marina, transfer, vendor and payment charges apply? |
| Changes and cancellation |
Which terms govern this particular booking? |
Use the same date, duration and passenger count on both quotes. For illustration, an offer with fewer included guests can need additional passenger charges even when its starting fare is lower. Request the complete total before deciding which is better value.
How H2OH package choices differ
Regular all-inclusive charters include meals and a standard open bar with captain and crew. The Family Charter option includes meals and non-alcoholic drinks without the open bar, with cash bar or bottle service available. Activities remain dependent on the yacht and itinerary.
Custom Series includes captain and crew, while food and bar choices are selected separately. It is not an uncrewed rental. Check outside-food and beverage rules before asking guests to bring supplies; outside alcohol is not permitted.
Compare these as package choices, not as a claim that one category is more private or inherently safer. Review the actual listing, including any vessel-specific differences such as Piratas TOO’s inclusions.
Pay for the features your group values
If everyone wants reef time, prioritize the correct snorkeling itinerary and equipment. If the occasion is a sing-along, use the karaoke-equipped yacht options. If several guests prefer to remain aboard, give shade and comfortable seating a place in the decision.
Compare photography, decorations and entertainment individually. A photographer’s service and an outside-vendor access fee are not the same thing. A meal included in the charter is not automatically a private-chef menu or formal dinner service.
Do not use price as a safety certificate
Ask about the named vessel, crew arrangements, equipment and suitability for your passengers whatever the quoted price. A premium label does not replace those questions, and a budget label is not evidence of poor maintenance. Discuss access needs before booking rather than judging them from polished photographs.
Compare the final totals
Use the fleet comparison and estimate builder to identify a suitable combination. Keep marina fees, transportation, extra passengers and optional services visible. An estimate is not a reservation; confirm the exact offer and terms before payment.
