Start with the activity you want, then choose a yacht and route that actually provide it. A photograph of snorkeling, paddleboards or a high-dive platform does not mean every charter includes all three. This guide helps a mixed group compare water time with the experience of staying aboard.
H2OH’s Riviera Maya yacht charters depart from Puerto Aventuras Marina. Your hotel location does not change the boarding point or automatically add a nearby reef, lagoon or cenote to the itinerary.

Compare the InHa snorkeling itinerary with the Xpu-Ha route. Four hours is the total charter duration, including travel and time aboard; it is not four uninterrupted hours snorkeling.
Plan for swimmers and guests who stay aboard
Ask everyone whether they want to enter the water. A guest may prefer shade, conversation, photography or music, and nobody needs to join a water activity to belong in the group. Compare seating, shade and bathroom access on the named yacht as carefully as the equipment list.
Tell the team about children, swimming experience and assistance needed for boarding or water access. Ask how equipment is fitted and how guests get back aboard. Follow the crew’s briefing and decisions; a private charter does not remove the risks of being on the water.
Keep equipment promises vessel-specific
Texas lists paddleboards, floating equipment and a high-dive platform. Those features should not be attributed to every H2OH yacht. Confirm the equipment supplied for your charter and use it only when and where the crew permits.
H2OH’s current company FAQ states that it does not offer jet skis. Do not interpret a general list of Mexican water sports as an H2OH inclusion. Scuba diving, fishing and kayaking likewise should not be promised as part of a standard charter unless separately and explicitly confirmed. See the current charter rules and inclusions.
Set realistic expectations for the reef
Wildlife sightings, visibility and sea conditions vary. A private yacht gives your group its own vessel and crew, not a private reef or a guaranteed turtle encounter. The captain confirms the route and suitable stops for the day.
Keep an optional activity genuinely optional. Agree in advance that the group can enjoy time aboard when a stop is unsuitable, rather than pressuring the crew to reproduce a photograph. Discuss important requirements before paying and review the applicable cancellation and weather terms.
Choose food and drinks separately from the activity
Regular all-inclusive packages include meals and a standard open bar. The Family option includes meals and non-alcoholic drinks without the open bar. Custom Series uses separately selected food and drinks. Choosing the Family option changes the package, not the meaning of the booked route.
Compare the full group price, included guest allowance, additional passengers, marina fees and transport. Then build your charter estimate with the activity and yacht you have chosen. Include any essential equipment questions in your inquiry so the team can confirm them before you reserve.
