Build a Tulum wedding weekend around the main ceremony and one well-organized group outing, with room for arrivals and rest. A private yacht welcome party can bring guests together before the wedding, or a day-after cruise can extend the celebration. For H2OH, the yacht boards at Puerto Aventuras Marina, not a Tulum beach or hotel.
Choose the yacht’s role in the weekend
A welcome party is for guests to meet and spend time together. A wedding package is a different product with ceremony or reception arrangements. A post-wedding outing can be a smaller, separately booked activity. Decide which you need before comparing yacht options for a Tulum stay.
Keep a separate passenger list for the yacht. The couple and guests whose share is covered by others still count. People attending only the land ceremony or dinner do not need to be included in the charter count. Disclose outside vendors and children when asking about capacity.
A three-day outline with one shared yacht outing
Illustrative Tulum wedding weekend, not a packaged vacation| Day | Main plan | Protect this time |
|---|
| Arrival and welcome | Hotel check-in and a gathering; a yacht welcome party only when arrival timing allows. | Flight delays, ground travel, check-in and time to settle. |
| Wedding | The confirmed ceremony and reception, whether on land or in a separately arranged yacht package. | Preparation, photographs, supplier access and guest transport. |
| After the wedding | A yacht outing, an optional cultural visit or free time, based on the guests still present. | Return transfers, packing and departure arrangements. |
Choose either the welcome or day-after yacht outing unless you genuinely want two separate bookings. Do not schedule a charter immediately after an arriving flight or assume every guest is free on departure day. Put the exact date beside each activity rather than using only Day 1 or Day 2 in the final invitation.
Fit the charter route to the group
A two-hour evening cruise gives guests time aboard for a welcome toast and conversation. Check daylight for the date; an evening departure can be after sunset. Three-hour Xpu-Ha is a daytime celebration option, while four-hour InHa is the snorkeling-focused itinerary.
Allow the complete charter duration plus the outward and return road journeys. Guests can remain aboard rather than swim. Water activities and stops depend on the captain’s assessment; a wedding group does not receive unrestricted access to beaches, lagoons or ruins.
Plan the Tulum-to-marina transfer explicitly
The transportation page, checked October 9, 2026, lists Tulum Hotel Zone transportation at $25 USD per person round trip and approximately 29 minutes one way. That estimate is not a live journey time for every Tulum address. Send the actual hotel or villa entrance, passenger count and access instructions so pickup can be confirmed.
For a confirmed 10:00 a.m. three-hour departure, marina arrival is 9:40 a.m. and scheduled return is 1:00 p.m.; the return drive happens after docking. H2OH asks for arrival 20 minutes before departure. A late start does not extend the confirmed return. Leave time to change before a later ceremony or dinner.
Keep cultural and cenote visits separate
The INAH Tulum listing, checked October 9, 2026, gives visitor hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with last admission at 3:30 p.m., and the main entrance at kilometer 230 of the Chetumal-Cancun highway. Recheck operating notices and admission arrangements before the visit. This is a land-based archaeological outing, not an H2OH yacht stop or a reserved wedding venue.
For a separate cenote visit, choose the actual venue before organizing transport. Compare entry arrangements, steps, swimming requirements, toilets and a suitable alternative for non-swimmers. A general cenote suggestion does not book a private venue, ceremony or group ticket. Keep this activity optional for guests who prefer rest.
Compare the right inclusions and avoid double charges
A regular all-inclusive charter includes meals, open bar, captain and crew. The named wedding packages list additional event services, including photography, cake and round-trip transportation. Confirm which product you are booking rather than assuming a standard welcome cruise contains the full wedding package.
Itemize additional guests, marina fees, transport when not included, chosen extras and payment charges. Have any symbolic officiant, photographer or decoration request confirmed separately where applicable. An online regular-charter estimate does not itself confirm a wedding package or a marriage ceremony.
Give guests one final itinerary
Include addresses, responsible contacts, pickup times, what to bring, what is paid and which activities are optional. Share the cancellation and weather terms before collecting contributions. Contact H2OH about the wedding event, or build an estimate for a separate charter. Keep the final booking confirmation, not an early itinerary draft, as the group’s reference.
