What to Expect on an H2OH Yacht Charter: Arrival to Return

Your H2OH yacht day begins at Puerto Aventuras Marina, 20 minutes before the confirmed departure. The captain and crew operate the yacht; guests do not need boating experience. You do need the correct meeting point, completed booking arrangements and an understanding of which activities belong to your charter.

Before leaving your hotel

Keep your booking confirmation available and check the yacht name, date, departure, duration, package and full guest count. Complete requested waivers in advance using the instructions provided with the booking. Tell the team about children, non-swimmers, access needs and dietary requests before charter day rather than trying to arrange them at the dock.

For swimming, bring swimwear and a towel. Pack sun-protective clothing, sunglasses, a secure hat, a light cover-up and a way to protect your phone from water. Bring only the belongings you need. H2OH’s guest rules explain onboard footwear and what may be brought aboard; outside alcohol is not permitted.

Confirm the pickup address and time with your transport provider. A hotel pickup time is not the same as the yacht departure. Read marina directions and transportation details before setting out from Tulum, Akumal, Playa del Carmen or another pickup area.

Check the day’s real clock times

These are planning examples, not confirmation that every yacht or date has these departures. A later evening departure shifts both check-in and return. Add your road journey before the arrival time and after the return time. H2OH’s published rules state that arriving late does not extend the scheduled return.

At check-in and boarding

Identify your booking and yacht with the team, confirm who is present, and complete any outstanding check-in steps. The published marina fee is $20 USD per attending guest ages 5 and older; children under 5 are exempt. It is separate from the charter fare, so include it in the day’s payment planning.

Wait for the crew’s boarding directions. Ask for assistance with steps or belongings before moving aboard. Listen to the briefing on life jackets, permitted areas, toilets, water entry and how to request help. Follow instructions during departure and docking; guests should not handle lines or boat controls.

During the charter

Your plan depends on the itinerary. Three-hour Xpu-Ha is a daytime cruise and celebration option, not the InHa snorkeling itinerary. Choose four-hour InHa when snorkeling is the priority. A two-hour evening charter focuses on time aboard; check the date and departure if sunset light matters.

The full charter duration includes travel out, onboard activities and the return. Do not plan on three or four uninterrupted hours in the water. The captain determines suitable stops and activities for the conditions, and wildlife sightings are not guaranteed. Guests who prefer not to swim can remain aboard in the areas permitted by the crew.

Food-service timing is coordinated with the route. Regular All-Inclusive includes meals and open bar; Family includes meals and non-alcoholic drinks without an included open bar; Custom Series arrangements differ. Agree on cake service, photographs or a toast before the trip so these fit into the available time.

Returning to the marina

Collect your belongings while following the crew’s directions and wait until disembarkation is permitted. Check seating areas for phones, glasses and clothing before leaving. Meet your return driver at the confirmed location rather than assuming the boat’s arrival ends the transfer arrangements.

For weather-related changes, use H2OH’s published cancellation and weather policy and the team’s instructions. A forecast or a request to change plans does not, by itself, guarantee a refund or another departure.
