A yacht day can be the highlight of a Riviera Maya vacation without replacing your hotel or the rest of the trip. H2OH’s regular private charters are booked day and evening experiences with captain and crew. They should not be described as overnight accommodation, a floating resort or unrestricted multi-day travel.
Use this guide to understand what belongs in the yacht booking and what needs separate planning. All H2OH charters depart from Puerto Aventuras Marina.
A private charter is one part of the vacation
Your booking gives your group the selected yacht and crew for the confirmed charter. It does not automatically provide lodging, airport transfers, land excursions or meals before and after the outing. Keep those arrangements separate unless they are explicitly included in a written offer.
Similarly, a cabin or interior lounge shown in a photograph is not proof of an overnight stay. Ask which spaces guests can use and what facilities your chosen vessel provides. A smaller guest group can book a larger yacht, but the fare and operating duration still apply.
Choose a pace that suits the day
A three-hour Xpu-Ha outing offers a coastal swimming and celebration experience on the listed route. A four-hour InHa charter is the option to compare when reef snorkeling is central to the plan.
For music, conversation and evening views, review the two-hour evening choices. Check daylight on your date instead of assuming every evening trip includes a visible sunset. Charter duration includes the whole boat outing, not continuous activity time.
Understand what private means
You are booking for your own group with the crew, rather than joining other customers on a shared departure. That is different from having exclusive use of the coast, a reef or an anchorage. Other boats and people may be nearby.
Private also does not mean unrestricted navigation. The booked duration, route, vessel and conditions shape the plan. The captain decides suitable stops and water access. Do not plan swimming inside a marina or choose an arbitrary anchorage from a map.
Compare packages without adding imaginary services
Regular all-inclusive charters include meals and a standard open bar. The Family option includes meals and non-alcoholic drinks without the open bar. Custom Series uses separately selected food and beverages.
A massage, private chef, scuba diving, jet skis or deep-sea fishing is not a standard inclusion to assume from the words yacht vacation. Confirm the actual yacht’s equipment and the services accepted for your selected booking. Photos illustrate a vessel or experience, not every possible package.
Keep time for getting there and back
Plan the round trip from your accommodation and reach the marina 20 minutes before departure. H2OH’s transportation information distinguishes pickup areas and approximate times. Optional transport is a separate cost unless your specific offer says otherwise.
Do not attach a tightly timed restaurant reservation, flight or land tour immediately to the charter return. Allow for unloading, road travel and getting ready. Guests staying within the Puerto Aventuras marina community should still confirm the walking route and exact meeting point.
Build one clear yacht-day plan
Write down the people coming, preferred route, total time available and a budget that includes marina fees, additional guests, transport, extras and payment charges. Share essential access or meal requests before paying.
Compare the fleet and prepare your estimate. Confirm the named yacht, date, duration and accepted services before considering the outing reserved. A well-defined charter can fit your vacation better than an expansive promise that leaves the important details unclear.
