A private yacht charter can make a Playa del Carmen vacation a day for your own group: music, a meal, time on the water and an experience chosen around your occasion. With H2OH, the first planning detail is the departure point: all charters board at Puerto Aventuras Marina, not the Playa del Carmen beachfront or ferry pier.
Start with our Playa del Carmen yacht charter comparison to see the yachts, published base rates and included guest allowances. Use this guide to decide how the charter fits into your stay and what to confirm before booking.
Choose the experience before the yacht
A private outing works best when the duration fits what your group wants to do. H2OH’s main charter choices are a two-hour sunset cruise, a three-hour Xpu-Ha cruise and a four-hour InHa snorkeling charter. Check which products and departures are available on your preferred yacht and date.
A two-hour sunset or evening cruise is an option for time together aboard. Check daylight for the actual date and departure; an evening cruise may be after dark. The three-hour Xpu-Ha option suits a swim-and-celebrate plan and does not include reef snorkeling. Choose the four-hour InHa itinerary when snorkeling is the priority. The captain confirms routes and water activities for conditions; wildlife sightings are not guaranteed.
Plan boarding and transportation from Playa del Carmen
Send the complete address of your hotel, resort or villa when arranging transportation. A property name alone can be ambiguous, especially when a group is staying at several addresses. Confirm the pickup point, meeting instructions for your yacht and return arrangements before making another reservation.
Allow for road travel and check-in in addition to your hours aboard. Follow the arrival instructions on your booking; the published planning guidance asks guests to arrive 20 minutes before departure. Transportation is separate unless your selected package expressly includes it. Our marina directions and transportation page explains the next steps.
Playacar is a specific pickup area, not every Playa del Carmen address
The transportation page, checked October 15, 2026, lists Playacar hotel-zone round trips at $20 USD per person and approximately 19 minutes one way to the marina. Downtown apartments, resort entrances and hotels farther along the highway can require different pickup planning. Give the full address rather than applying the Playacar estimate to every accommodation. The team confirms your pickup time.
A useful planning rule is: time away from your hotel equals outward travel, early marina arrival, the complete charter, disembarkation and return travel. A confirmed 10:00 a.m. three-hour charter has 9:40 a.m. marina arrival and a scheduled 1:00 p.m. return to the dock. It does not put you back at a Playa del Carmen restaurant at 1:00 p.m.
Compare the full group price, not only the starting rate
The advertised base price applies to a particular charter and included guest allowance. Maximum yacht capacity is a different number. A yacht that can carry 55 guests does not necessarily include 55 people in its starting price.
Compare the yacht, duration, included guests, additional-guest charges, marina fees, transportation and chosen extras. Use Build Your Yacht Day with your date and full passenger count to review the options. Published prices and capacity matches do not confirm availability or reserve a departure.
Keep your celebration private
Your H2OH charter is for your group rather than a shared boat tour. Choose the yacht for the people coming and the way you want to spend the time together. Review photos of the actual vessel and confirm music, karaoke, swimming equipment and other features instead of assuming every yacht is equipped identically.
For a bachelorette yacht party, compare the celebration arrangements and what each option includes. For a wedding or reception, confirm the event layout and any fixed ceremony or dinner time. The group-charter page helps larger parties compare suitable vessels.
Check meals, drinks and extras for your package
Regular all-inclusive charters include captain, crew, meals and open bar. Family Charters include meals and non-alcoholic drinks without an included open bar. Custom Series includes captain and crew, with food and bar choices priced separately according to the selected options.
Decorations, photography, upgraded bottles and other services depend on your package. Review the optional extras and discuss dietary or access requirements before confirming. There is no need to choose a package around amenities your group will not use.
Keep other Riviera Maya excursions separate from the yacht itinerary
Do not assume a short H2OH charter includes Isla Mujeres, Cozumel, the Tulum ruins or the Sian Ka’an reserve. Those are not promises made by the standard sunset, Xpu-Ha or InHa itineraries. Confirm the actual route before combining the charter with sightseeing plans.
Likewise, a snorkeling charter is not a scuba-diving or cave-diving booking. Use the itinerary and the selected yacht’s published details as your reference, not a generic description of everything available elsewhere in the region.
Turn the idea into a confirmed yacht day
Choose your preferred date, count all passengers and compare the yachts on the Playa del Carmen charter page. Then review your itemized estimate, meeting instructions and cancellation policy before payment. Your own yacht, your own crew and a clear plan are the starting point for your kind of day.
