A boat party during a Tulum vacation needs two coordinated bookings: the yacht and the journey to its marina. H2OH charters depart Puerto Aventuras Marina, not the Tulum beach or your hotel. Start with the passenger list and preferred activity, then fit transportation, photographs, food and any later reservation around the confirmed charter.
Choose the experience before the decorations
Use the Tulum yacht comparison to select a vessel with enough capacity and the features your group will use. The yacht’s maximum guest limit is different from the guests included in its base price. Count the birthday guest or bride, children and any guests whose share other people are paying.
Match the party to an H2OH itinerary| Main priority | Charter to compare | Planning consequence |
|---|
| Daytime music, swimming and time together | Three-hour Xpu-Ha | Plan a daytime outing; snorkeling is not included in this itinerary. |
| Reef snorkeling | Four-hour InHa | Allow the longer charter and identify swimmers and guests staying aboard. |
| A shorter evening celebration | Two-hour sunset or evening cruise | Match the actual departure to sunset on your date when daylight photographs matter. |
Duration includes cruising and the return to the marina. The captain determines suitable stops and water activities for conditions. A hotel beach club, cenote visit or ruins tour is a separate plan, not an extra stop to assume is included.
Work backward from marina arrival
For a confirmed 10:00 a.m. three-hour charter, arrive at the marina at 9:40 a.m. and plan around a scheduled 1:00 p.m. return. Your driver sets the earlier pickup time using the accommodation address, access instructions and traffic. The scheduled return is not the time you will be back at a Tulum hotel.
The H2OH transportation page, checked October 9, 2026, lists Tulum Hotel Zone transportation at $25 USD per person round trip and approximately 29 minutes one way. That published estimate is not a live travel time for every Tulum address. Give the exact villa or hotel entrance and obtain a confirmed pickup; arrive 20 minutes before departure. Late arrival does not extend the yacht’s return time.
For multiple accommodations, send one list of pickup addresses and the passenger count at each. Decide who contacts the driver and who checks that the whole group is present. Put any dinner reservation after the return transfer and time to change, rather than immediately after docking.
Build the complete group price
Ask for separate lines for the yacht, additional guests, marina fees, transportation, celebration extras and payment charges. Regular all-inclusive charters include captain, crew, meals and open bar. Family and Custom Series have different food and beverage arrangements.
For logistics alone, ten adults using the listed Tulum Hotel Zone transfer would budget $250 for round-trip transportation and $200 for marina fees: $450 before the yacht and other charges. This example uses the published $20 marina fee per attending guest aged five or older; under-fives are exempt. Check the actual pickup rate and product total before collecting contributions. Transportation and marina fees are excluded from discounts.
Decide which extras are worth arranging
Choose a few details that serve the occasion: a cake sized for the group, the bride’s preferred decoration colors, a short playlist or a planned group photo. Compare individual extras with the bachelorette celebration bundles so the same cake or bar upgrade is not ordered twice. Bundle prices and guest allowances are separate from the yacht fare.
For music, confirm the yacht’s connection and any karaoke equipment. H2OH’s published guest rules restrict DJ use to the reef rather than the Party Cove, so confirm the route before hiring a DJ. An outside vendor fee and the vendor’s service fee are different charges.
Send a useful final invitation
Include the yacht name, confirmed date, pickup entrance, pickup time, marina arrival, scheduled return, what is paid and what remains due. Ask swimmers to bring a towel and swimwear; pack sun-protective clothing, a secure hat and a dry cover-up. Arrange safe storage for phones and keep props out of walkways.
Review the onboard rules and cancellation and weather policy. Outside alcohol is not permitted, and dietary requests need confirmation. Follow the crew’s boarding and activity instructions, and give non-swimmers a comfortable plan aboard.
Build your Tulum-stay yacht estimate with the actual passenger count and itinerary. Have the yacht reservation, transfers and chosen extras confirmed before sending the final schedule to the group.
